Exodus 20:13
"You shall not murder."
Well that's pretty self-explanatory!
Straight forward!
Simple.
Straight forward!
Simple.
Just don't KILL anyone.
I got that one down. In the bag!
I got that one down. In the bag!
Well.. sorry to burst your bubble, but God isn't just referring to going out and killing people. It's WAY more than that.
In Matthew 5:22, God says that "anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment." That verse goes even further saying, "And anyone who says, 'You fool!' Will be in danger of the fire of Hell."
Now that's more of something you need to worry about, huh?
There is a way deeper meaning to this commandment.
There is a way deeper meaning to this commandment.
Thinking something mean or cruel about someone, judging someone where it isn't your place to judge, is equivalent to murder.
And we need to understand that.
Our words, our actions, and even our thoughts, have HUGE consequences based on how we choose to use them.
Challenge/ New Years Resolution:
Really start thinking about how much murder you have committed, and how much more you might commit, and look to change the way you think. Show more love.❤
