Hebrews 6:10
"God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them."
Like I said in a devotional not too long ago, what you do to others is what you're doing to God.
Do good to others, and you are doing good to God.
Mistreat others, and you are mistreating Him.
You know the saying, "Treat others the way you want to be treated"?
Well, keep that in mind, but also think about this, "Treat others the way you would treat God."
Your perspective might change a little at that point, because if you think just about what Jesus would do for people, and you think about the difference you could make if you were kinder and more loving to people, then you might be more willing to do it, right?
Plus, as it says in this verse, God does not forget what you do. He won't forget.
And when we all get to Heaven and we're standing in front of God, He will reward you for the love you have shown Him as you helped his people.
Can you even imagine the look on God's face if you do something good? I think about that a lot. How when you sing to Him, talk to Him, spread His word, His love, He smiles. And I cannot wait to set my eyes on Him someday in Heaven. You know that song that says something like, "Will I dance for you Jesus? Or in awe of you be still, will I stand in your presence, or to my knees will I fall, will I sing Hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all I can only IMAGINE." Yeah. I love that song, because I have no idea what it'll be like in those moments but I am so excited to see the One who sacrificed His son for me. That's one of the things that I need to focus more on in this life I think... And something I encourage you all to think about too, as you walk through this life.
Let Him keep you going.
He won't forget your love.
Love.
